It has been a challenge spotting a bears in the park since latter part of the summer. Lack of food has them spread out throughout the park looking for calories to add before they go to sleep over the winter. If anyone can find food it will be them, using all they have learned from their mother and being very curious and opportunist creatures. During the summer "split-lip" and I crossed paths, his official name is 136 but "split-lip" is his moniker. A name he got after getting a cut on his upper left side of his lip, more then likely from a fight with another boar, he likes to rough it up. We should be a respectful distance from any wildlife encountered in wild, even more when this beautiful and unpredictable grizzly is encountered.
Until next moment,
Amar
