I normally don't get to see a hawk this close and have time to take one, let along few pictures of it. I came around the corner and there it was, Cooper's Hawk, less then 15 meters from me. One eye on me and the other on its potential prey.
Cooper's Hawk
Just as I arrived to the open field on a cold rainy morning, a friend pointed out the Cooper's Hawk perched on a dead tree middle of the field. I quickly parked the car and got close as possible to take the picture. The hawk was in no hurry to take off, it stayed put and looked over the field for some time before deciding to leave.
