I was sitting beside the water and watching the Green-winged Teals, Mallards, Buffleheads and two Gadwalls. The teals took to the air, circling back and fourth over the water, first from a sitting position and then from a standing position I took their pictures. After about two minutes they landed back on the water and continued where they had left off. I sat back down and continued watching them.

Yesterday morning I had a quick walk on a nearby trail before heading for work. Along the trail were small pools of water and in one of those pool were a pair of Green-winged Teals. I thought, they would fly away as soon as I got close to them. I walked slowly, stoping to take a picture before moving closer. But I was suprised when they stayed put as I watched and took photos just mere meters away. There was just enough light coming through the clouds to get few good pictures.
