After taking the pictures of the sunrise, I started looking at the Lesser Scaup with its eight chicks. They were about 70 meters away from me, I would take a picture or two and then wait for them to get closer. Sat back and enjoyed the views as I waited, the water fowls took their time makig their way toward me. Diving often to look for food, but after a short wait they got close enough for me to take few good pictures.

I had finished taking pictures of Great Blue Herons, decided to walk alongside the shallow lakes to see what else I could come across. I came around some willow shrubs, when right front of me was a female Lesser Scaup with 8 chicks. That was only couple of weeks ago, hopping they are doing well and will be ready to fly south when cold weather returns. They were on the move, I quickly grabbed few pictures before they were out of sight.
