Yesterday morning I was travelling through the Bow Valley in the morning, looking for subjects to take pictures of. The first few pictures I took was of Pilot Mtn covered with snow from few days back. The morning light hitting the top part of the mountain and the snow covered trees in the foreground and on the slopes of the mountain. With the cold temperature, it was winter time.
Pilot Mountain
It's absolutely beautiful out there, with the snow and the winter crisp air, this how I like Canadian winters. The last few weeks I needed to have several layers on, but it's worth it when I'm outside. Coming across beautiful landscapes to take pictures of and every now and then seeing wildlife making its way through the snow. Always looking forward to the next day out.

Here's a picture of Pilot Mountain, that was a marker for many who were travelling through the Bow Valley in the early days. Since it can be spotted from a great distance from the East and from the West. In this case the picture was taken just west of Pilot Mtn. in the evening.

Sometimes nature makes it too easy to get a picture, The snow storm had subsided and the sky started to open up, the morning light was high lighting Pilot Mountain. Everywhere I looked , the ground, the trees and the mountains were covered with fresh fallen snow. It was winter wonderland. In no time I had my picture.

Pilot Mountain
Not a bad way to start the day of photography, clouds started to fill the sky and the water was still. Quickly made my way to the water to take the pictures before the mosquitoes did a number on me.

Pilot Mountain
I was exploring the valley few weeks back, looking for wildlife of the bird kind. The sun was rising and coming over the rangee behind me, looked over at Pilot Mountain and liked the simplicity of it all. Light dusking of snow fallen on the mountain the day before, sunlight on the north side of the mountian and its reflection in the slow moving stream before me.
